Data collected while browsing
The systems running this website collect, in the ordinary course of operation, data whose transmission is inherent in the use of Internet protocols: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, date and time of the visit, pages viewed. This data is used to allow you to use the site, to produce aggregate statistics and to keep the service secure, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). It is kept only as long as technically necessary and in any case for no more than twelve months, unless required to establish liability in the event of computer-related offences.
Cookies
The site uses technical cookies, which are necessary for it to work, and — subject to your consent — third-party measurement and profiling cookies. On your first visit a banner lets you accept, reject or choose by category; until you make a choice, no cookie other than the technical ones is installed. You can change your preferences at any time through the dedicated icon on the site. Contact form
If you write to us through the contact form, we process the data you provide — typically your name, email address and the content of your message — for the sole purpose of replying. The legal basis is the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) or our legitimate interest in responding to messages received (Art. 6(1)(f)). Messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for the following twelve months, unless a contractual relationship arises from it.
Bookings
The booking engine on this site is provided by a third party acting as our processor. When you search for availability or make a booking, the data you enter and your IP address are shared with that provider in order to deliver the service. The processing of booking and stay data is described in the dedicated guest privacy notice, available at the front desk and on this website.
Analytics and advertising
Subject to your consent, we use third-party measurement and advertising tools which install cookies and may collect data about your browsing. These tools are activated only after you consent and are disabled if you refuse or withdraw consent. Details of each tool, its provider and retention periods are set out in the cookie policy.
Recipients
Data collected through the site is processed by authorised staff and may be shared with the suppliers who assist us in running the site and related services — hosting provider, booking engine provider, consent management provider, email and measurement providers — all appointed as processors under Article 28 of the Regulation. An up-to-date list is available on request. Data is not disclosed publicly nor transferred to third parties for their own purposes.
Transfers outside the EU
Some of these providers are established outside the European Union or rely on infrastructure located in third countries. Such transfers take place on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission or of the standard contractual clauses adopted by Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914, supplemented where necessary by additional measures. Your rights
You may at any time ask us to access, rectify or erase your data, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a machine-readable format, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand. To exercise these rights write to info@donapalace.it: we will reply without undue delay and in any case within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome — www.garanteprivacy.it).
